Catalina Island- FCA staff Retreat Aug 24-26 '09

The entire Southern California FCA staff along with their families spent quality time together at a resort called "Campus By The Sea" in Catalina Island. We had no cell phone service, little running water, and limited electricity. The focus of the retreat was to relax, spend quality time with the Lord and others, and discuss ideas for the new school year. We also had a lot of fun! The Resort was by itself on a beach so we had the joy of Kayaking, snorkeling, and hiking! 

 A lot is going on with FCA right now in Southern California. Our top guy Donnie Dee has moved to Kansas City to be second in line Nationally and my two bosses (Mark Boyer and Barry Martinez) have moved into his Donnie's position as the Regional Directors. I respect and look up to Barry and Mark so much and I am confident that the Lord will be using them to have a greater impact on all of Southern California. 

Please be praying for our staff as we look for County Directors. I have  pretty good idea who is taking Barry and Mark's place, but I will hold off for now:)

I didn't get a picture with all the Southern California staff but I do have a group one of the Orange County Staff.....most of us at least:)

Baby Noah-Baptism! July 29-Aug 4th '09

On July 29th-August 4th I was very blessed to go back to Chicago and see my family. It was my first time being introduced to my sisters baby boy...Noah! He was a born about a month and half ago and has grown so much in the short time. He has one hazel eye and one brown eye...I don't know how long that is going to last, but man he is a cutie! I am I was able spend quality time with both my sister and nephew. My sister is doing an amazing job and I am very proud of her:) Enjoy the pictures!!!

I know God has big plans for Noah. thanks so much for all your prayers:)

Jeremiah 1:5

Over the last few months I have had it on my heart be baptized. At the same time the Lord has been doing a work in my sisters heart about baptism. On August 2nd 2009 my sister and I were baptized by my dad in front of our congregation at Grace Church of Dupage in Warenville. It was truly a special moment in my life! My sister did an amazing job with her testimony and it is very evident to see the Lord work in her heart. I was truly blessed to have my dad and sister up there with me....a moment in my life that I will never forget.

A little Update:) Jr HIgh Footall Camp

Hello everyone! It has been a while since I have updated this thing. My computer crashed and I lost all of my pictures for a few days, but was able to regain them:) They are very disorganized so the only ones I have up are from my time at home and this past weekend. 

I do want to give an update on our FCA Jr. High Boys Football Camp. This was held at Orange Coast College on July 13th-July 16th.  This 4-day camp was coached by high school coaches from all around Orange County. The participants learned football skills as well as heard testimonies from current college football players.  Here are some of the names on the list!

Robbie Boyer- Current USC Trojan (wide receiver)

Matt Barkley- Current USC Trojan (quarterback)

Mark Boyer- Former professional player (Colts, Jets. As well as my boss:)

Jared Hall- Former D3 quarterback back-up:) Something looks wrong here. Why am I on this list?

We had over 65 kids attend....It was a very successful Clinic!
