Irvine Huddle Recap: 12/19

Northwood Huddle- Christmas Story

The student leaders put on a full out Christmas story skit at our last huddle before break. It was so awesome to see the leaders take ownership of this huddle as they made props, wrote lines, and acted out everything. It was neat to see how the Lord worked as he brought in a ton of students to hear about the birth of Jesus. Thanks to everyone for their prayers and support...God is truly moving on this campus and I am very excited to see what he has for us in the year of 2010.

God bless.

Quarterback Training

Being a part of FCA has given me a lot of opportunities to work with jr. high and high school students in the football realm. I have recently started to train a student by the name of Luke Langdon. Luke's family has been a huge part of FCA over at Northwood high school! Luke will be a freshman next year at Orange Lutheran, where he continues his football career:)

I plan on working with more quarterbacks this spring and seeing where God takes me on this path.

University High School Huddles Kicked off!

University had their first huddle last friday October 30th! The Lord remains faithful in answering our prayer requests about Funds for food as we had some parents donate! ...Praise the Lord. I decided to have Josh come and speak at the first one to carry some momentum for the rest of the school year.

The line approaching- Huddle Northwood November 3rd '09

On Tuesday at Northwood I felt like we were in the "Bible Times" when multidudes use to follow around Jesus to hear him speak and perform miracles. So many kids waiting in line for food and to hear about God......can you believe this is a public campus!? 300 students came in that day...and 3 students were saved:)

Our speaker Josh Boldly presented the Word of God as he talked about Christ's death and ressurection. He painted a clear picture of what it looked like to have a personal relationship with Jesus.

The result of the huddle brought me to this verse.

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If any one loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides for ever. 1 John 2: 15-17
