Foothill FCA: God in their Hearts and Bibles in their Hands (November 17th)

Dear FCA Parents,

What a wonderful Huddle!  (Click on picture link below.*)

Local youth leader, Melissa Brosch, held the kids' attention with her riveting--and true--story about a traumatic toilet mishap.  Ask your kids to tell you about it, but perhaps not during dinner!  She related the heroic actions of the father to what Jesus did for us by reaching down to save us from the disgusting muck of sin.  It was certainly a picture of redemption the students will not soon forget!

Jared followed up by pointing out student leaders and local youth group leaders at the Huddle who would be glad to speak with them and answer questions about Christ.  He also offered Bibles to those who wanted them.

I overheard the following conversation after Jared's announcements:
Girl with blue shirt: I think I'd like a Bible.
Her friend: What for?
Girl with blue shirt: Well to read, of course!

Six Bibles were handed out; two of them to girls who came for the first time!  Doesn't that put a big smile on your face?

This is why we pray, this is why we bake cookies and sling pizza--so that these kids will come in, hear the Gospel, and open their hearts to Christ!

Thank you for being a part of this ministry!  God is doing great things!

Amen and amen!

Humbly,
Linda and Cherie
