Huddle Recap Woodbridge High Oct 8th 2012

To God be the glory!

·       *  Approximately 170 students attended today’s FCA Huddle, the first of the 2012-13 school year.
·       *  Jared Hall welcomed the students: “You’re at FCA, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. You don’t have to be an athlete; you don’t have to be a Christian. We’re just glad you’re here!”
·       *  Creg Darby of Free Chapel Church in Irvine kicked off the new school year by challenging the students to be game-changers in their classmates’ lives.   Like Peter and John in Acts 3, we believers may not have silver or gold or answers for hurting people, but we can share Jesus with those around us who are hurting and broken.  “When you take our eyes off yourselves and look at others,” Creg continued, “you can change this school!”
·       *  Many thanks to the following families who supported the Huddle with donations of cookies, water, pizza dollars, plates, napkins, time, and/or prayer:  Avazian, Babb, Coyle, Culbertson, Davis, Gaultiere, Gibbs, Greenberg, Guest, Haney, Klopfer, Link, Mellor, Moore, Prock, Suiste, Torrey, Valentine.
·       *  Next Monday watch for a signup sheet for Huddle #2, to be held 10/22/12.
·       *  And please join us for an FCA Dessert on Wednesday evening, 10/24/12, from 7:30-8:30.  Meet Jared, learn about FCA, and hear about the eternal impact this ministry has on students’ lives! We’ll be meeting at the Guests’, 37 Bloomdale in Woodbridge, 92614. Please RSVP so we have enough dessert for everyone!
·       *  Please let WHS freshman parents know about the FCA Dessert!  With built-in attrition in FCA parent support (our kids do graduate!!!), we need to be sure to share the vision with the parents of incoming freshmen and other newcomers to FCA!
