University High School-Friday Huddles (1:00 Start, located in room 705)

University High School is a great way to end the week! We have had some great huddles this year and I am so excited to see what God is going to do in the coming years. We have such a young leadership team...all underclassmen! They are such good leaders and not ashamed of getting people to the huddle.

We meet in a Science classroom that is actually a really neat set up. We have a lot of kids coming, instead of moving the huddle to a bigger venue, some kids are left without seats! Dan Wroblickly is our "Huddle Coach." He is a track and cross country coach and has been a joy to have around. This is his first year being involved with FCA as the Huddle Coach. He has two daughters at Northwood HS that are on leadership for FCA. Very neat family!'

Great parent support, but just like Beckman....not too many parents. Please pray that God continues to bring in new faces that want to be involved with the ministry!

Out of all my schools this huddle has the most "religions" attending. We have Buddhist, Muslims, and Jewish kids all coming! I pray each week God would continue to press their heart and lead them to Christ!

University is also where Will Ferrel went to schoool.......Thats why I love it so much:)

Irvine High School- Thursday Huddles (11:30 start located in Old Gym)

Irvine High School is the campus that I have been on the longest! We lost a lot of great senior leaders last year but God provided us with some quality underclassmen and this huddle has continued reach new kids every week. This is another school where we had to switch our location because we outgrew the room! The huddle is now located in the "Old Gym" which is a very cool atmosphere for the kids to walk into.

We have a great Huddle Coach who has been faithful to me since the first day I met him. His name is Eric Terry and he is the offensive coordinator for the football team.

The Parent Support is continually growing and has been so faithful to the ministry! We have had some close calls this year with pizza support but every week God has provided and we give him all the glory!

This campus is majorly prayed.........I see only growth as we end another school year!

The student leaders bought the sweatshirts and have been selling them on campus!

Beckman High School-Thursday Huddles (1:09 start located in Commons)

Beckman High School is one of the first schools I was able to get on. Another staff guy (JeremyRenken) had this school the year before and passed it along to me when I was hired because of the fact it is located in Irvine.

We out grew the room we were previously meeting in and had to move the huddles into theCommons area. I have been extremely blessed by our leadership team who continue to find ways to get better each week.

We have great parent support but just not that many parents. If you could continue to pray for parent/pastor contacts for this school, I would much appreciate it! Our "Huddle Coach" Penn Bushong is a huge reason why we are on this campus. He continually wants to see the ministry grow and has been there for me the whole time!

I am also Coaching football at Beckman (Varsity quarterbacks).God had a plan for me as I emailed every Coach in the Irvine district asking them if there was an available coaching position. Coach Fred Shambaugh from Beckman High School was the first person to get back to me. He is a Christian guy that Loves the Lord with all his heart. He is a big advocate for FCAand having him around football guys reminds me of my grandpa.

We have been able to get more football players to the huddles because of the Christian influence we both have. I know the Lord wanted me coaching here for a reason...more than just football piece.

Go Patriots!

Mater Dei-Thursday Huddles (10:45 start located on outside bball court)

Mater Dei High School is the only school I have that is not located in Irvine. Mater Dei is located in the town of Santa Ana. After leading a Bible study this past summer with a majority of the guys being from Mater Dei, my boss thought it would be good to adopt this school as one of my own!

A big Catholic school that has been around for more than 50 years and is recognized for its great academics and athletics, Mater Dei is a beautiful school loaded with great kids.

This is our first full year with FCA on the campus! We have great parent support and the student leadership has taken much ownership over the huddle. Our "Huddle Coach" Kathleen Kelly has been such a servant and has such a great relationship with all the kids.

The biggest barrier that we have had this year is being outside for our huddles. All the classrooms/gyms have been occupied all year! At the same time God has been teaching us a lot about adapting to what we have been given. I am so blessed by this community and we are reaching a lot of kids!

Northwood High School- Tuesday Huddles (11:55 start located in Big Gym)

The Northwood Timberwolves follow in line on Tuesdays! I had a difficult time getting onto this campus when I started last year. The administration wanted nothing to do with FCA and all we could do for 3 months was pray. There were some moms that I got in contact with after they heard about the ministry going on at the other High Schools. They were so faithful in prayer for the high school and after Christmas we finally got on!

Northwood has the largest leadership team and huddles out of all my schools. They kind of go hand in hand, if you have lots of leaders...that usually means you will have more kids come. There are 200 kids coming to every huddle!

Coach Rick Curtis and Coach Tim Obrien are the two huddle Coaches for Northwood. They are on fire for this ministry and have continued to pray for the students.

The parent support blesses me! Just got like Woodbridge there are tons of moms that set up and start praying before the huddle even starts! They have spent countless money on pizza, water, cookies.....Thanks moms!

The school year has been great, Lots of energy and lots of kids. Most importantly the Lords name is being glorified and kids are coming to know him.....

Woodbridge High School: Monday Huddles (12:30 start located in Upper Gym)

We start the week off with the Woobridge Warriors! This was the second campus I was able to get on when I was brought on the FCA staff.  The huddles have completely blown up over the past couple of years and I am so blessed to be a part of this great community. There are around 12 students on leadership who have totally taken over the huddle and made it their own. We have the huddle in the Upper Gym because so many kids are coming...I have to give full credit to the leadership team not being ashamed of what they stand for and inviting their friends to hear the word of God!

We also have great teacher support. Our "Huddle Coach" Anne Walton stepped up to the plate a year ago and has been faithful ever since. She opens up her classrooms for us to have our leadership meetings in there and is a huge part of this ministry!

The parent support has been a huge blessing to the ministry. Every week at Woodbridge there is a group of parents already set up in the gym before I walk in with drinks, snacks, and enough pizza for everyone...they love being a part of the ministry-having free pizza for the kids is a great way to draw kids in!

The huddles this year have been great. We are keeping the Lord first and giving him glory for all that he does. We are going to miss the student leaders who graduate next year.....please be praying for lower-classmen to step up and want to be apart of it.

The City of Irvine

As a staff we are split up into different areas of Orange County. My title is the "Area Representative" for Irvine and all my schools but one are in this city. I am currently on six schools but my goal is to be on every high school, college, and junior high campus. There are many holes to jump through when getting onto a campus. First I need Christian Student Leaders who have a vision to reach their campus for Jesus Christ. Then I need a Christian Coach for insurance purposes to help get me on the campus. If those two things are set I usually don't have a problem getting on because of the Coaches influence with the other faculty. Next I need parents who are willing to support, either through donations for pizza, prayer, or financial support for me personally. God is good and he will continue to provide...one way or another:)

The City of Irvine has reportedly 202,079 people living in it. My schools average 2,400 kids. The huddles that we have average around 110 kids...lots of kids to be reached.

Please continue to pray for the High Schools: Beckman, Northwood, Woodbridge, Irvine, University, and Mater Dei.
